The nation needs to speak up about this issue. If there is a concensus amongst the British public and the governing party can see how that concensus can be turned into support, be it in the polls or indeed an actual election, then the politicians will put it in their manifesto. Sadly this is rarely the case. The truth is that not enough people regard government policy to help reduce man-made climate change as key factor when they go out to vote. Average Joe wants cheaper food, cheaper petrol, more non essential technologies, more choice at the supermarket, cheaper aeroplane tickets, faster more frequent trains, low NHS waiting lists, fewer foreign nationals, lower taxes, lower interest rates, more houses, more police, less crime and then finally not to destroy our home planet, the only planet we know of, by systematically tearing it to pieces system by SYSTEM. IN THAT ORDER.
